Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026-10-11
This Privacy Policy explains what information Audio Traffic Control ("we", "us") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It covers the website audiotrafficcontrol.com, the Audio Traffic Control mailing list, and Audio Traffic Control Scheduler, the private publishing tool the artist uses to post to their own social media accounts.
Who we are
Audio Traffic Control is an independent music artist based in California, United States, and is responsible for the information described here. Questions go to privacy@audiotrafficcontrol.com.
Information we collect
- Mailing list: the email address you enter when you subscribe.
- Website requests: standard technical data such as IP address and browser type, processed by our host, Cloudflare, to deliver and protect the site. We do not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.
- Connected platform accounts: for the artist's own accounts only, the access tokens, account and board or channel details, published posts and post performance figures returned by each platform's official API.
How we use it
Email addresses are used only to send Audio Traffic Control news and releases. Platform data is used only to publish the artist's own posts and to show the artist how those posts perform. We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or build profiles of anyone.
Sharing
We share information only with the services that run these features: Kit (kit.com) sends the mailing list emails, Cloudflare hosts the site, and each social platform receives the posts we publish to it. We disclose information otherwise only if the law requires it.
Retention and security
Mailing list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Platform tokens and post data are kept while an account stays connected and are deleted when it is disconnected or on request. The publishing tool runs on a server controlled by the artist, behind a login only the artist can pass, and all connections use HTTPS.
The website
The site has no user accounts, sets no cookies of its own, and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. If you join the mailing list, the email address you enter is sent to Kit (kit.com), the email provider, and used only to send Audio Traffic Control updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
The publishing tool
Audio Traffic Control runs a private, self-hosted publishing tool that connects to the artist's own accounts on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Threads, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, Bluesky, Discord and Telegram. It is used only by the artist. Through each platform's official API it stores the access tokens needed to publish to those accounts, the posts and media being published, and post performance figures for the artist's own posts. It does not collect data about other people, and nothing is sold or shared with third parties.
The publishing tool connects to Audio Traffic Control's own Pinterest account through the Pinterest API, with permission the artist gives when signing in. It reads that account's boards so the artist can choose where a Pin goes, creates and schedules Pins on those boards, and reads basic analytics (impressions, saves, clicks) for the account's own Pins. It stores the Pinterest access token, the Pins it publishes and those analytics figures on a server the artist controls. It does not access other Pinners' accounts, Pins or boards, and no Pinterest data is sold, shared or used for advertising. Removing the app in Pinterest's settings stops all access, and stored Pinterest data is deleted on request through the address below.
Deleting your data
To be removed from the mailing list, use the unsubscribe link in any email or write to the address below. To ask for deletion of any other data connected to you, email privacy@audiotrafficcontrol.com and it will be deleted within 30 days. Disconnecting the tool from an account in that platform's settings revokes its access immediately.
Your rights
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or unsubscribe at any time. Email the address below and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
This site and its tools are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
